Pauses for Productivity
Being busy is funny because it doesn't exactly entail being productive. I've been busy since moving to México. If you know me, you know I like to be productive.
Once again, I am returning to a new beginning which often times feels more like an end. Since they are really one in the same, it's a matter of shifting my perspective and creating time and space to plan, think and grow. It's been 20 days since I moved from my home in Texas to Mexico and honestly, I've felt very lost. I haven't found my routine, rhythm or even breath. I recall lessons I've learned and find myself repeating certain patterns that don't hold up for my own success.
Being busy has helped me deal with feeling disconnected but I'm ready to shift again, even though it's difficult. So today, instead of striving to do lots of things, I'm going to sit in bed, drink my coffee and read. I'll take my time cleaning the family garden. I'll spend sometime writing out intentions. Taking a little time for enjoyable pauses helps me step back into work and world with calm tenacity.
A productive pause is not meant to be busy! I remind myself and you, pauses are productive no matter how "lazy" they may appear.
